I did not make any New Year resolutions. I never keep them so what is the point? Instead, I want to take each day and live that day for the Lord. If I look too far ahead I tend to get overwhelmed. I have to leave the looking ahead to Roger. He does much better at that than I do. Sometimes he looks so far ahead it scares me!
But there are some things I look forward to this year. One is watching Darcie grow! I know we are not with her (thank God for Skype!) but we will be able to see her change as long as Matt & Julie keep us updated with pics. We did get to go home for a couple of weeks at the end of the year to see this precious doll baby and hold her in our arms.
Matthew and Julie are going to be such good parents. I loved seeing my baby holding his baby!
Here in Haiti I also look forward to a few things. Improving my Kreyole is one thing I must work on. I have not been as diligent as I should have.( Roger's issues with kidney stones sidetracked me). Not a resolution you understand, just something I must work on everyday. I do so want to be able to communicate! At my age learning a new language seems impossible but I know with God all things are possible!
This year I am praying for the young people here in Haiti. I want to see a revival break out in our schools, our churches and our communities here! A revival of true repentence for sin, a turning to the kingdom of God and His righteousness, a turning to the Lord for all needs, a desire for Him and Him alone! And I want to see it in these kids!
These are some of the highschool students here at College Jehovah Shalom on their free day at school. Pray with me for these kids!
Our hearts are prayers are with you everyday!!
